Memento Mori II Information
Year: 2022
Media: Marker on paper.
Dimensions: 15.5 x 15.5 inches

This is the second composition in a series that I began in December 2021. I adapted the design from a public domain reference image. I used pencil to plan the shape of the human skull. Then I drew by hand two sets of concentric loops. The sets of loops passed over the outline of the skull. In the regions contained by the outline, the loops were not allowed to overlap. This created areas of single and double density, "revealing" an image from the screen.
